Safaricom has announced an price increase of its services including calls, SMS and Mobile Internet. The company also announced a price increase for its Fibre-To-The-Building (FTTB) and Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH) services. The price increase for its Safaricom Home Fibre product was necessitated by a new tax, a 15% Excise Duty tax on internet services that was introduced by the Finance Act 2018.
