Spotify has launched an offline backup feature on its platform. The new feature allows Premium users to keep listening to music offline with no downloads required.

Since its official launch, nearly half of all Spotify Premium listeners globally have used Spotify offline to listen to their favourite audio.

For the Offline feature, Spotify takes the Premium user’s queued and recently streamed tracks and creates one easy-to-access playlist that is unique to them. The Offline Backup includes tracks already stored on the user’s device as part of their regular listening on Spotify.

Interestingly, the Offline Backup playlist evolves as the user continues to listen. This means that users will always have something new.

How to find Spotify Offline Backup

The Spotify Offline Backup will appear automatically in the Home feed anytime the user is offline.

Users should have listened to more than five songs recently and have offline listening enabled. Find this under Settings and then Data Saving and offline, or Storage look for the Offline Listening toggle.

Premium users can add Offline Backup to Your Library for easy access at any time.
