Prof. Timothy Waema and his two co-authors, Ron Price and Dr. Evans Baiya have officially launched a book on strategy. It is aimed at equipping businesses with knowledge and skills to draw and implement effective strategies that deliver results.

The book is titled Titled Optimizing Strategy for Results: A Structured Approach to Make Your Business Come Alive. It is as a blue print for corporate leaders, business entrepreneurs, SMEs and strategy students and consultants looking to design and implement strategies that are customised as per their business needs.

Speaking during the launch of the book, Prof. Waema said, “During the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the groups most affected by the unique operating environment was entrepreneurs running small and medium-sized businesses. As a founder and director of several start-up companies, I was challenged to help others within the business community to establish systems and structures that would help them withstand the volatility of the current socio-economic climate. With this in mind, we have developed a 7-stage model, built on a proven framework that is dynamic and responsive. A unique model that acknowledges that strategy is a process that needs to align to the diversity of people’s talent, skills and passions.”

The book provides a 7 step guide to strategy and complimentary resources such as strategy assessment tools, and online training courses. It also has other psychometric tests that will allow businesses to have unbiased evaluations of their intelligence, abilities and potential of their businesses.

Dr. Timothy Mwololo Waema is a Professor of Information Systems in the School of Computing and Informatics in the University of Nairobi and a founder director of several start-up companies. Over the last 20 years, Waema has facilitated over 70 organizations, in both public and private sectors, to develop or evaluate their medium-term strategy. He has also been an editor in the publication of several books in the general area of IT and development.

Ron Price is an internationally recognized business advisor, executive coach, speaker, and author. He is the author of nine books about business and personal growth. Ron currently serves as the President of TTI Success Insights LTD.

Dr. Evans Baiya is a scientist, consultant, author, and speaker. He works with a number of startups, large companies, academic institutions, and governments on strategy and planning, new product development, process improvements, R & D innovation programs, technology transfer, and commercialization. He is the co-author of The Innovator’s Advantage: Revealing the Hidden Connection Between People and Process, with Ron Price, published in 2017.
